Kangaroo Armchair, designed by Swiss architect Pierre Jeanneret for the Chandigarh Capitol Complex in India, has been reissued by Cassina in its Hommage à Pierre Jeanneret Collection. This collection stands out for its essential forms and simple materials and its balance of modern European ideals and traditional Indian spirit.

Originally made for the Chandigarh General Hospital Hall, this low chair is characterized by the “Z” shape of its sides, a sequence of three vaguely triangular coplanar elements placed in continuity. The seat and backrest feature woven Viennese cane inside the wooden frame. An optional cushion is available for added protection and comfort.

  • Solid oak wood frame
  • Woven Viennese cane
  • Black plastic feet
  • Seat/back cushion
    • Polyurethane foam padding with light velvet
    • Fortuny/Ivory fabric upholstery
