Iconic Modern & Contemporary Furniture

Cassina has been designing the future of interiors for over 90 years. Founded by brothers Cesare and Umberto Cassina in 1927, the company is credited with launching industrial design in post-war Italy. Its innovative fusion of modern technology and artisan manufacturing revolutionized the furniture industry and established Cassina as a champion of European modernism. The company’s transformation after the war was bolstered further by commissions for cruise ships, high-end hotels, and restaurants.

Today, Cassina is a preeminent design leader and manufacturer of original contemporary furniture. Recipient of four Compasso d’Oro, the brand works closely with leading international architects and designers to create innovative, high-quality chairs, sofas, armchairs, tables, and accessories.

Le Corbusier, Magistretti, And More

In 1964, Cassina acquired the rights to produce the works of Le Corbusier, one of the most important names in 20th-century design. This marriage blended Corbu’s iconic designs with Cassina’s technological prowess. Today, the brand is the exclusive manufacturer of all of Le Corbusier’s designs, including the LC1, LC2, and LC3 armchairs, and the LC4 chaise longue.

The Cassina collections also feature notable pieces by great Italian architects such as Vico Magistretti (the iconic Maralunga sofa), Gio Ponti (the original Superleggera chair), Mario Bellini (the Cab collection in saddle leather), and contemporary figures like Philippe Starck, Piero Lissoni, and Patricia Urquiola.
