Etch Pendant Light

Designed by Tom Dixon

Made in China

Inspired by the logic of pure mathematics, Etch Pendant Light is a series of geodesic structures made of razor-thin digitally etched metal sheets tabbed together like Victorian tin toys. Using digital acid etching methods, these pendants are patterned for the effective filtering of light designed to cast an intricate set of shadows.

Tom Dixon, Designer

Tom Dixon is an innovator who rose to prominence in the 1980s as a maverick, untrained designer with a line in welded salvage furniture. It was during this period that he began collaborating with Italian giant Cappellini, for which he designed the widely acclaimed ‘S’ Chair. Today, Dixon is one of the industry’s most feted British designers heralded as a significantly original talent.
