73.1 Pendant Light
No Two Alike
As they take on their fabric-like quality, the handblown glass bodies of the 73 Series form into objects that are altogether unique in shape, size, and tonality.
Overview
73 Series Adjustable Pendant Lights by Omer Arbel for Bocci result from blowing liquid glass into a folded and highly heat-resistant ceramic fabric vessel. The resulting shape has a formal and textural expression intuitively associated with fabric, which becomes permanent and rigid as it cools. A low-voltage xenon or LED lamp is positioned to fill the resulting volume with diffuse light, accentuating the volumetric perception of the piece.
Models
- The 73.1 has 4 canopy options, visible in the gallery images. “Standard Brushed Nickel” and “Standard White” directly attach to a standard junction box (not supplied). “Deep Brushed Nickel” and “Deep White” house the driver within the canopy and are best used where a junction box is not available.
- 73.3 is comprised of 3 hand-blown glass pendants that attach to a single brushed nickel or white canopy. Lamps (10-watt xenon or 1.5-watt LED) and power supplies included. LED lamping on 73.3V is not dimmable.
Details
- 73 Series Adjustable Pendant Lights are differentiated by their adjustable lengths up to 10′ (standard) and up to 100′ (custom).
- Due to the hand-crafted nature of 73 Series, the pendant size, as well as color depth and tonality, will vary.
