Linha Dining Table

Linha Dining Table by Marcio Kogan for Minotti is a manifesto of the Brazilian designer’s constant pursuit of elegance in the proportions of his creations and of his almost obsessive attention to detail.

Linha, or “line” in Portuguese, is his response to the challenge of designing a dining table with a large span, a structure only 16 mm thick, and a top that can reach up to 4 meters in length. Visually, it appears extremely lightweight and airy, despite the strong impact of the materials used, in which marble boldly takes center stage.

In the more sculptural version, the structure designs a bridge, with the top being flush with the sides, whereas in the other tables the blade-like legs, with the section curved on the inside, are set back from the top.

The stratified bearing structure with matte black lacquered finish features aluminum sides with Golden Brown finish and a top in Grigio Orobico marble.

Tops in flamed Tobacco oak or Palisander Santos with matte polyester varnished finish are also available – woods that, with their material textures, give great character to the product.

The Linha family also includes a round table available in four sizes.

Materials

• Top finish options:
  • Grigio Orobico marble, 16 mm thick, contoured;
    • The marble top is supported by a 5 mm thick aluminum honeycomb panel and rests on a loadbearing structure in boxed MDF, with matte black lacquer finish
  • Fir blockboard, 40 mm thick, Palisander Santos* veneer, matt polyester lacquer finish;
  • Fir blockboard, 40 mm thick, flamed oak veneer, open-pore Tobacco color stained finish
• The 400 x 115 cm table is only available with a marble top. The upper top in marble is divided into two pieces, and the load-bearing structure is always a single piece.
• Legs in MDF with internal metal structure, clad in laminate and with Golden Brown lacquer finish
• Adjustable metal feet in Golden Brown color, with protective ABS glides
