The 73 Series Surface Light by Omer Arbel for Bocci results from blowing liquid glass into a folded and highly heat-resistant ceramic fabric vessel. The resulting shape has a formal and textural expression intuitively associated with fabric, which becomes permanent and rigid as it cools. A low-voltage xenon or LED lamp is positioned to fill the resulting volume with diffuse light, accentuating the volumetric perception of the piece.
- 73s is a surface-mounted light fixture with a 3.1″ diameter mounting plate designed to be mounted on walls and ceilings. Please note, the 73s does not attach directly to a junction box and requires the power supply (driver) to be remote mounted. The minimum amount of power supplies to power the ordered quantity of fixtures will be provided unless otherwise specified.
- 73sp has a paintable 4.5″ diameter mounting plate designed to be mounted on walls and ceilings, directly to a standard junction box (not included). The power supply is integrally mounted.
- 73s and 73sp have an IP65 designation meaning that they can be used outdoors and in other wet environments.
- Each light comes with either a 10-watt xenon or 1.5-watt LED lamp and power supplies as specified above.
Due to the hand-crafted nature of 73 Series, the glass shade size, as well as color depth and tonality, will vary.
