Michael Anastassiades for B&B Italia
Made in Italy
Jack Bookcase is the first collaboration between B&B Italia and Michael Anastassiades. Known for his skills in working with light, the Cypriot designer has designed a modular wall system with a striking degree of technological perfection. This design challenge revisits and modernizes a design classic—the 1950s bookcase room divider—transforming it into a compliment with a clean, essential yet architectural structure. The genius of the piece lies in concealing the engineered supports, including those holding up the laminated shelves, inside the vertical elements with a rounded section made of extruded aluminum and integrated by an exclusive, totally-invisible, floor-to-ceiling telescopic adjustment system.

The modularity and discrete technical solutions underlying the project make it possible to create compositions for every room and furnishing context.
