Cirio Lineal Pendant Light by Antoni Arola for Santa & Cole draws its inspiration from the majestic hanging lamps of Istanbul’s Blue Mosque, translating centuries-old lighting traditions into a thoroughly modern modular system. First designed in 2010, Cirio (Spanish for “candle”) has evolved into a versatile family that allows designers to create everything from single glowing elements to expansive floating compositions.

The Lineal configuration suspends five cylindrical shades in a symmetrical row along a slender black aluminum structure, creating clean horizontal lines of light ideal for illuminating kitchen islands, dining tables, or bar areas. Each shade is powered by Santa & Cole’s HeadHat LED capsule system—an efficient module with integrated heat sink that delivers warm 2700K light through your choice of three distinct materials, each offering its own character.

The white opal glass shade provides the brightest, most efficient illumination with crisp, even light distribution—perfect for task-oriented spaces where you need clarity without harshness. Light filters through the translucent glass uniformly, creating a soft ambient glow that extends beyond the fixture itself. The modular nature of the system means you can connect multiple Lineal sections to span longer surfaces, or mix configurations within the broader Cirio family to create customized lighting installations suited to your specific architectural needs.
