Overview

Berbère Rug by Baxter honors the ancient craft traditions of early-20th-century Moroccan Berber rugs through meticulous handwork and time-honored techniques. Each rug is spun and knotted entirely by hand on traditional vertical looms, with skilled artisans scissoring the pile surface to create the organic irregularities that give every piece its own distinct character.

Characteristic patterns and side fringes are woven one by one in the style of authentic Berber rugs, while natural materials take center stage—black and white versions use undyed wool, and colored variations are achieved through vegetable dyes. This is craft elevated to art, where heritage techniques meet contemporary design sensibility.
