Foscarini imagines, develops, and produces innovative decorative lamps conceived as design objects. This leading modern lighting manufacturer was founded in 1981 on the famous glass-blowing island of Murano in Venice, Italy. Foscarini’s first major success came in 1990 when it collaborated with renowned designer Rodolfo Dordoni to create Lumiere, an instant classic that is still in demand today.

One of the company’s brand values — Freedom — captures its spirit best. The absence of constraints in production, technologies, or on the supply-side makes Foscarini fiercely independent and capable of the utmost creativity. This license to play and imagine has generated a portfolio of highly expressive table lamps, floor lamps, ceiling lights, wall-mounted lights, and pendants. It has also yielded two prestigious Compasso D’Oro awards and acquisitions by the Museum of Modern Art.

Since 1985, Foscarini has partnered with both established and emerging designers including, among others, Tord Boontje, Ferrucio Laviani, Andrea Anastasio, Marc Sadler, Patricia Urquiola, Ludovica & Roberto Palomba, Atelier Oï, and Vicente Garcia Jimenez. This long history of collaboration with international designers has resulted in an expansive list of design icons within the field of lighting, including Lumiere Table Lamp, Caboche Table Lamp, Twiggy Floor Lamp, Gregg Pendant Light, Aplomb Pendant Light, and Allegreto Ritmico Pendant Light.
