Plissé features gently curved silhouettes wrapped in leather. The right-hand facing door showcases a triangular plissé pattern. This pattern is matte black-stained oak on one side with your choice of leather on the other side.

A fashion industry term, plissé originally referred to fabric that had been woven or gathered into pleats. Today, it is a lightweight fabric with a crinkled, puckered surface, formed in ridges or stripes.

Overview

Distinguished with bespoke detailing, Plissé Sideboard by Draga & Aurel for Baxter honors the Art Deco design sensibility of the 1920s and 30s. A collection of four sophisticated storage units and a bar cabinet, Plissé features gently curved silhouettes wrapped in leather. The right-hand facing door showcases a triangular plissé pattern. This pattern is matte black-stained oak on one side with your choice of leather on the other side.

Materials

  • Burnished brass base
  • Internal natural maple veneered MDF frame with exterior back in matte black-stained oak
  • Curved shutter in poplar plywood internally veneered in black oak. Externally, one shutter is covered with leather, the other one with a triangular plissé pattern. This pattern is matte black-stained oak on one side and leather-covered on the other.
  • Base (bar version only) and top in brushed glossy black-lacquered MDF. Handles in burnished brass.
