Rituals Pendant Light
Designed by Ludovica & Roberto Palomba for Foscarini
Made in Italy
One, two, three lanterns that are lightweight yet brimming with seductive texture. Three different yet concurrently complementary shapes balancing between the east and the west. Rituals is a family of lamps that conveys the magic of rice paper or mulberry tree bark—the raw materials of traditional Japanese lanterns—through the precious physical appeal of blown, frosted glass.
The horizontal lines which cut across the surface of the Rituals pendant lights give rise to a soft, charming silhouette that filters the intensity of the light source and diffuses warm, full light into the room. Rituals’ blown glass body—with its pleasant plaster-like appearance—is perfect for use alone or in harmonious compositions of three to nine lamps with the use of a multiple-port canopy.
